There are more than 350 adult male members of Inverurie Golf Club, unfortunately or perhaps fortunately, only about 150 compete regularly in Club Competitions.
For the summer months, the Gents Competition Days are Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Wednesday tee times are 08:45 – 09:48 and 16.34 – 19.01
Saturday tee times are 06.47 – 10.00 and 12.15 – 15.00
Sunday tee times vary depending on the Competition to be played but generally are similar to Saturdays.
All stroke play Medal Competitions are played in three balls. For full details of the timing and format of all summer competitions see the Fixture List and for open events see the Open Competitions section.
Players may also enter the Medal Competitions outwith these tee times by booking through the Professional’s Shop.
Players can book Saturday and Sunday Medal times one week in advance at the Professional’s Shop.
Wednesday Medals can be booked on the Tuesday evening of the week previous to the Competition. A member of the Match and Handicap Committee will be in the Clubhouse at 20.00 and players can book tee times for up to three players.
During the winter months there is a Winter League Competition held on Saturdays with both a morning and afternoon section. The format is four-ball better ball handicap, with the leaders in each league playing off to determine the eventual winners. There are also winter competitions held on Sundays including a Monthly Medal, Snowman/lady/junior competitions, March Hare and, keeping within the furry animal theme, the Squirrel Competitions. The format for these are usually Stableford with some Medal rounds.
Details on gaining and retaining a Golf Handicap are available from the Club Manager.
